Key Features
- Minimal liquid retention. Ultra Low Retention (ULR) tips assure even less liquid retention. ULR tips reduce the tip retention by nearby 85% and decreases the standard deviation of the retained volume by
more than 75 %.
- Universal grip design, using flexible materials with a series of bands
and supports producing a positive seal.
- Thin walls and a small surface area at the tip orifice: greatly minimising
the possibility of the tip retaining sample droplets.
- The angle between the bevelled tips and the receiving vessel
reduces the area surface of the tip touching the vessel. This angle
combined with an ultra-thin orifice reduces the effect of liquid samples
creeping up the side of the tip (capillary effect). By reducing
this capillary effect, Orange Scientific tips and filter tips dispense
accurate volumes.
- All tips are provided with calibration lines at specific volumes, acting
as visual checks to minimise any risk of errors during sample aspiration.
- Made of high quality, low adhesion, polypropylene.
- Production compiles with EN ISO standard 8655 and DIN 12650, controlled accroding to DIN 12600.
- Autoclavable at 121°C for 15 minutes.
- All tips are certified DNase and RNase free. Sterile tips are are non pyrogenic (LAL testing).
- Available in bulk or in refillable racks. Racks feature a hinged lid that opens at 120° for easy micropipettor access, and are autoclavable.

Key Features
In addition to above mentioned characteristics:
- All aerosols and liquids are prevented from entering the micropipettor. Thus, cross contamination is prevented.
- Virgin Polyethylene filters without additives (a potential source of contamination).
- Micropore technology ensures that the filters will never trap samples in the tip.
Should the filter become wet due to inadvertent over-pipetting, it will act as a barrier
to the passage of liquid, yet the sample in the tip may still be dispensed in the
normal way, and can be re-used without fear of contamination. All filter tips are
metal free.
- The PCR*-Filter tips (0.1-10 µl) are specially engineered for PCR* multiplication/
techniques, and provide the researcher with the confidence that the entire amount
of enzymes or DNA will be captured for testing purposes and reliable results.
Ordinary filter tips do not offer this feature.
